love your pets

have practically grown up with pets, especially dogs. they are such lovely animals. great companions with nothing but unconditional love for their owners. cats are starting to really grow on me too. definitely a joy to have around. i pray for pets abandon rates to drop as well as increased education of pet owners.

during a trip to san francisco, as well as nearby monterey and napa valley in 2009, this old song by scott mckenzie kept popping into my head. i liked it. san francisco was famous for the flower power era in the 60s and 70s, so this 60s song was very apt and i liked the nostalgia that came with it.
